Clear and Confident
ReGen Laser specialize in offering a variety of treatments for acne. As opposed to traditional dermatological treatments (prescription antibiotics, harsh topicals, Accutane), we treat acne through new philosophies of improving the health and function of the skin. One of the methods we use is the Quanta Q-Switched Laser (Q-Switch ND:YAG laser).
What should you know about laser for acne therapy.
Whether you have mild or severe acne this treatment will help you. Using lasers can not only treat and shut down active acne and over-active pores in the acute setting but also stimulate the skin to be healthier and more highly functioning to prevent future breakouts of acne, cysts and inflammation.
The Q-Switched laser will treat and shut down your active acne and help decrease residual redness, inflammation and discoloration. Successive treatments will improve the quality of the skin and therefore make you much less prone to reoccurrence of breakouts and blemishes.
Why should you receive this treatment versus others?
Q-Switched laser treatment treats both active and future acne. As opposed to other treatments that cause more discomfort, trauma to the skin and downtime, the Q-Switched laser will successfully shut down over-active pores and sebaceous glands resulting in great improvement in the health, look and feel of your skin.
How many treatments will you need?
The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient and your esthetician will personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Your esthetician may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures to further personalize your treatment. Typical patients need 4 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart, but most patients will start seeing results after the first treatment.
Is there any discomfort or downtime?
The beauty of this laser treatment is that it is very tolerable with minimal discomfort during treatment. You will not need topical numbing creams or any type of anesthesia. The treatment is quick and generally patients are wearing make-up and/or have presentable skin the next day.
Will you need other types of treatments?
For each new and ongoing patient with acne of any type, our trained estheticians will have a complete consultation with you to discuss your condition, possible treatments and skincare. We follow up with you very closely during your care to educate you about your skin and make sure we are achieving your goals of healthier and better looking skin. Other treatments may be recommended, but rest assured that we will discuss this in detail with you and spend as much time as you would like discussing the plan.
